Welcome to our bi-weekly market at Wakefield Crowbar in the heart of Garden Oaks + Oak Forest. There will be goodies from artisans and local businesses so come out to support them while you shop in our outdoor market. Booths are distanced and sanitizer stations are available on-site. We will have a few regular vendors, as well as, new vendors so if you are in the neighborhood - plan your walk or bike ride to include the market. Too far to bike or walk, but looking for a safer environment to shop to support local business, drive on over! There’s plenty of street parking and other local businesses besides the market that you can support.
Our non-profit partner is Lemonade Day, whose mission is to help today’s youth become the business leaders, social advocates, community volunteers and forward-thinking citizens of tomorrow...one lemonade stand at a time! We’ve also partnered with Yard Peeps, who will be donating 10% of their yard sign sales (except for custom signs) to Lemonade Day! from today’s market until the end of the day on Sunday, August 16th, so get your back to school signs now! Wakefield Crowbar is also generously donating a portion of their food and beverage sales on market day, so come grab a drink, snack, lunch or dinner - dine-in or to go!
Don't forget that we are a drop off location for:
*Gently used or new books for kids. We’re looking to fill the Little Free Libraries around the city.
*Legos - bring any legos that your kids have outgrown or no longer use. We will donate legos to non-profit organizations for kids locally OR recycle through LEGO Replay. Look for the lego bin or bring to the HTX Market Tent/Table.
This is a FREE family and dog-friendly event so come fill your belly, bag, and heart - Eat. Shop. Do Good.
NEW SAFETY PROCEDURES
The market will be completely outdoors and we will have safety measures in place to abide by the CDC recommended guidelines for social distancing.
All attendees, except kids under 10, are asked to wear masks for everyone’s safety
One household at each vendor booth at a time
Hand sanitizer will be available at all vendor booths, and you will be asked to use sanitizer before handling any products
Vendors will be wearing masks for your safety and theirs. Since we are outdoors in the heat, vendors are allowed to remove their masks if there are no patrons at their booth, but should someone be in the vicinity, they will put their mask back on and hand sanitize before handling product.
No cash will be accepted. All vendors will accept credit card, venmo and other forms of cashless payment
