Wakefield Crowbar 10.10.20

  • Wakefield Crowbar 954 Wakefield Drive Houston, TX, 77018 United States (map)

Join us at our bi-weekly market at Wakefield Crowbar in the heart of Garden Oaks + Oak Forest. There will be goodies from artisans and local businesses so come out to support them while you shop in our outdoor market. Booths are distanced and sanitizer stations are available on-site. We will have a few regular vendors, as well as, new vendors — so if you are in the neighborhood, plan your walk or bike ride to include the market. Too far to bike or walk, but looking for a safer environment to shop to support local business, drive on over! There is plenty of street parking and other local businesses in the area that you can also support.

We partner with a non-profit or cause for each market to bring awareness to the organization and the impact they are making on our community. We love supporting entrepreneurs of all ages — Lemonade Day will be out with their stand at the market so come out to support a kidprenuer. Speaking of kids running their own businesses — Green Leaf Bike Shop, run by 12 year-old Arel will be doing bike maintenance so bring out your bikes that are in need of some adjustments!

Here are the services he offers:
1. Chain clean and lube- $15.00
2. Gear adjustments- $15.00
3. Bike clean- $20.00
4. Brake adjustments- $10.00

While you out enjoying the market or getting your bike maintenanced, don’t forget that Wakefield Crowbar is open to grab food and beverages for dine-in or to go!

We are a drop off location for:
*Gently used or new books for kids. We’re looking to fill the Little Free Libraries around the city.
*Legos - bring any legos that your kids have outgrown or no longer use. We will donate legos to non-profit organizations for kids locally OR recycle through LEGO Replay. Look for the lego bin or bring to the HTX Market Tent/Table.

This is a FREE family and dog-friendly event so come fill your belly, bag, and heart - Eat. Shop. Do Good.

NEW SAFETY PROCEDURES

The market will be completely outdoors and we will have safety measures in place to abide by the CDC recommended guidelines for social distancing.

  • All attendees, except kids under 10, are asked to wear masks for everyone’s safety

  • One household at each vendor booth at a time

  • Hand sanitizer will be available upon entry into the market area and at all vendor booths. You will be asked to use sanitizer before handling any products

  • Vendors will be wearing masks for your safety and theirs. Since we are outdoors in the heat, vendors are allowed to remove their masks if there are no patrons at their booth, but should someone be in the vicinity, they will put their mask back on and hand sanitize before handling product.

  • No cash will be accepted. All vendors will accept credit card, venmo and other forms of cashless payment
